I have been wanting to try Rebbl Elixirs for quite some time now. Rebbl stands for roots, extracts, berries, barks, and leaves. They are made with all natural substances and are dairy-free, soy-free, and gluten-free. As a parent of a child with food sensitivities, I figured these would be great because I can’t enjoy dairy, soy, or gluten products while breastfeeding.
After reading over the label, I noticed that there was a warning that read: “Pregnant or breast feeding women should consult their healthcare professional before consuming.” As a breastfeeding mom, this warning prompted me to do a little research.
I noticed three ingredients among the different flavors that I was unfamiliar with — Maca, Quillaja, and Reishi. After a few Google searches, I determined that there was not enough research done on these herbs and extracts for me to comfortable consume this product while breastfeeding and feel good about it. While they are likely safe, I cannot risk it. I am EXTREMELY disappointed that I have to wait to try these great looking elixirs, but for the health of my baby I will have to postpone indulging in them for a later date. For now, I will have to share these with my family and friends. I’m sure they will enjoy them!
Let me know in the comments section if you have tried these and what your thoughts on them are!
