Before we arrived in Orlando, I did a little bit of research on what attractions were baby friendly. I noticed that our hotel was located only a short ways away from the Coca Cola Orlando Eye. In this area, they have souvenir shops, restaurants, Sea Life Aquarium, Madam Tussad’s Wax Musuem, and the Orlando Eye (a large enclosed Ferris wheel for sight seeing). I thought it would be worth a shot to check out the area one of the days we were in town.
The first day we arrived we visited the Sea Life aquarium. There were a lot of great creatures for my son to look at. My favorite part was the underwater tunnel, where you could view sharks and bright-colored fish swimming above you. We didn’t stay long, however, as he was very fussy from the long day of travel. We decided to check out the outside shops, while he napped in the carrier. After he woke up, we were very hungry, so we grabbed a quick bite to eat from the café inside the main building of the Coca Cola Eye. By this time it was pretty late, so we decided to return the following Saturday when my husband could join us again.
The weather was beautiful the entire time we were in Orlando — not too hot, but not cold, either. Because of this, we decided to walk down International Drive back to the Coca Cola Eye area. Madman Tussad’s was first on the list. I was amazed at how life-like all of the statues were. The celebrities inside included Tiger Woods, Barack Obama, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Taylor Swift, Peyton Manning, and many more! My son, once again, loved looking around at all the new and exciting scenery around him. Our whole family really enjoyed the museum.
We fully planned to ride the Coca Cola Orlando Eye, but since it was almost a half hour ride, we decided against it. We weren’t sure how my son would do stuck inside a small space for that long.
I’d like to note that there is a family changing room in the main building of the Coca Cola Eye. It was a good thing, because after the large diaper blowout I talked about in the Ripley’s post, this is where we had to change him. The Coca Cola Orlando Eye is a great place for adults and kids alike.
Note: We received complimentary passes for these attractions, but the opinions are all my own.
