We were lucky enough to enjoy a meal at Urban Tide located in the Hyatt Regency on International Drive. They specialize in upscale Floridian sea food. Our server, Ana, was very attentive and cheery. We brought my 8 month old son along, and everyone was very accommodating to his needs.
I eat dairy and gluten-free, and the staff was more than willing to accommodate these wishes. Ana worked with the chef to create a wonderful experience for our family.
We started with an appetizer of Maine Diver Scallops with pistachio vinaigrette that was catered towards my dairy-free request. They were delicious, even without the signature vanilla parsnip purée. There were also some good looking Cheddar Biscuits brought out, but I was unable to indulge due to the cheese. My husband ordered the Malbec Braised Lamb Shank which was very tender and juicy. For my main meal, I chose Seely’s Arc Free Range Chicken with herb stuffing. Instead of cauliflower gratin (dairy) I opted for gluten-free sweet potato fries. The fries were some of the best my husband and I ever had. We were very pleased with our meal and service.

While we were too full for dessert, I was disappointed that there were no gluten-free dessert options besides sorbet. The menu stated which entrees were gluten-free, which was great. However, I would have liked a gluten-free cookie or pie, as other restaurants in the hotel offered those options.
Overall, Urban Tide exceeded my expectations. While the meal was complimentary, the opinions are my own and highly recommend this upscale restaurant to those staying in the area.
